Urban Axes Axe Throwing - Durham

We had a wonderful time! There were four of us, and we spent 1.5 hours there on Friday night. I was pleased with everything. The venue didn’t accept cash, which was fine with me. For the newcomers in our group, it was easy for them to get the hang of throwing consistently, and the instructor was very helpful. Overall, it was definitely worth the price, and I would love to return the next time I'm in town.

What happens when you bring mad scientists to Urban Axes? You get an exhilarating mix of science, sweat, competition, and a whole lot of fun! We had an amazing time last night. Sean and Phil were phenomenal trainers. Saying that Otto managed our schnapps needs would be an understatement. Bailey was professional every step of the way with planning and reservations. This was the best experience we’ve had, and I’m sure we’ll be back!

I took my office team to a team-building event at Urban Axes, and I was pleasantly surprised. I expected my colleagues to have a great time, but I wasn’t so sure if my female employees would enjoy it as much. However, our trainer, Bradly, was fantastic. He was patient, professional, and encouraging, making everyone feel at ease and helping to build their confidence. I would highly recommend that every company take their team out to experience something like this and enjoy some time away from the office.

This was the first time my boyfriend and I went axe throwing, and we had a great time! I had zero experience throwing anything, but our coach, Mark, was very helpful in showing us what to do. He gave us several different techniques to try, and helped out with adjusting our form. He was very knowledgeable about what little things we needed to adjust like our stance, where in our throw we let go of the axe, etc. He made sure we were having a good time every step of the way. Even if we were struggling, he offered bits of advice to help us improve and maximize our fun. Both of us had an amazing time and we are talking it up to our friends so we can come back again with a big group. We’ll definitely need to have Mark as our coach next time, too!
