The staff really let this place down. The food is really tasty, the soup and toasties are nice. The staff take ages to bring your drinks, then forgot our soup then brought the wrong soup, and the exact same thing happened with another table beside us. The manager/owner really speaks down to her staff, didn’t smile once. It’s uncomfortable for customers. Really good food but staff needs to go the extra mile.

Have stopped here a number of times while passing through always found it good but not anymore. I ordered a regular coffee and jam bakewell not heated. It came heated.i returned it and was given a cold one which I couldn't eat it was so stale.i left it behind.paid 8.30 for that and coffee.i told lady about it but she wasn't interested. I don't mind paying for fresh cakes but don't give me stale one.i won't be back

Always rated sugar and spice for cake and coffee break. Very poor last week. Coffee cake not the treat it used to be.

Lovely little bakery and coffee shop, which supplies a good choice of menu from soup to wraps and sandwiches and fantastic cakes. You can eat in or take away. It gets very busy as situated on the mall in the middle of the main street.

Sugar and spice has always been a nice cafe, however the last number of times I have been there I have experienced extremely poor and rude service by waitressing staff . I got in touch with the manager before I wrote this review to try and explain the poor service I have received the last 3 times I was there but the manager was determined to defend her employees actions and just wouldn’t listen to my point of view. I know of people who have experienced what I have recently and plan to avoid the cafe. I have come to the same conclusion. If you can’t acknowledge when your staff are rude it’s not a place I went to go to.
