Southern Bay Bakery - Dunedin

I could not believe how much this place exceeded our expectations (and the expectations were already quite high! I threw a bee baby shower. they asked me to show them some pinterest pictures for inspiration and boy delivered them! everyone has swept around the cake and cupcakes. the design was absolutely stunning and they helped us choose the aromen to add the themes: chocolate alternately with lemon layers with butter honey cream. each dessert plate was clean. will be 100% back with them.

Such a sweet bakery with a lot of space. Earlier, I came here when they were in western chase, but as they moved, and I finally decided to come to the place in dunedin, which was surprisingly easy from where I live. I was looking for cupcakes and found that they had minicake cups. I wasn't a mini cupcake person yet, but I'm sure now! I have her hummingbird cupcake, carrot cake cupcake and salted caramel. I even threw in her delicious boozy bite, that's a pieball with alcohol that's thrown in there because. why not? since I was out and around and the cupcakes were a little cold out of the refrigerator and not ready to eat, I decided to get some coffee and a delicious bake. I have the chocolate croissant and a delicious latte with maple taste in it! wow, it was at the place. the chocolate croissant was enormous and the chocolate was ample. as if the baker really wanted to make sure that you knew it was there. every last bite had chocolate. if they are a chokoholic, this would certainly be ideal as it was wrapped like a huge dark chocolate bar around a golden, flaky crust. I washed it with my latte. the maple taste gave him only the right note. When I came home, I'm in the mini cupcakes. everyone was slightly two bites. the cake was moist and delicious, the frosting smooth and silky. the aromen really kicked out in every cupcake, so I certainly enjoyed my cupcake flight. I ended the night with a boozy bite that had the definitiw kick as soon as I punctured in it. I think that was a vanilla cake ball with a **** of alcohol. can't wait to go back and get more stuff. in any case the chocolate croissant.

I visited this café for the first time today after a session at Stretch Zone, and I was impressed by its lovely decor. I had high hopes for their baked goods. However, I can only give it two stars due to the quality of the item I chose. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant, which was quite overpriced at nearly $9, so I expected something exceptional. Unfortunately, it turned out to be soggy. I had asked for the type of cheese, and they told me it was Swiss, which sounded great, but when I took a bite, I discovered there was also cream cheese mixed in. I couldn’t tell if the sogginess was due to the cream cheese or perhaps low-quality ham with a lot of moisture, but the croissant was definitely not the light and fluffy experience I was hoping for. I'm willing to give another baked item a try and hope it will be of better quality.

We visited on Sunday and got a box of a dozen mini cupcakes to take home. The service was prompt and very friendly! Each cupcake was one-of-a-kind and incredibly delicious! We're so thrilled to have discovered this bakery!

I think this place is very cute and close to home I have tried it a few times but... Very disappointing the bakery items are way over priced and they were dry and stale and nothing to write home about!
