Craft - Dunedin

The staff was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and the lamb was absolutely delicious. The beers were also very good, and the whole atmosphere made for an enjoyable experience! I definitely recommend it!

The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and offers a variety of grilled dishes alongside traditional pub fare. Food is served at different times, which leads to diners eating at various intervals. While the concept is interesting, particularly for those who enjoy grilling their own meals, the experience can be uncomfortable—especially with the stone grill, as it can be inconvenient if dishes don’t arrive in the correct order.

We had dinner here tonight and it was truly a delightful evening. The food was outstanding, and our waitress was exceptional; I just wish we had caught her name so we could acknowledge her! Regardless, we will definitely be returning.

This was the best meal we have had in 2 and a half weeks in New Zealand, one we will remember for a long time to come. Our server, Keesha (sp? , was terrific — prompt, helpful with suggestions but not overbearing, and Kiwi friendly — and her warm welcome set the tone. We ordered Good George Fog City Hazy IPAs (excellent! and the ribeye with slaw and fries. Keesha suggested the mushroom sauce for the steak, and it was an outstanding addition to the perfectly cooked piece of beef. We topped off the meal with 2 more hazies then the Skillet cookie with ice cream and caramel sauce. Yum. All of it was delicious, the ambience was nice, and the service was exemplary.

Was a very quiet Sunday in Dunedin. But nevertheless we hit the Craft bar for a bowl of chips and a pint of IPA. Had I known there was a golf simulator there, I would not have worn such a restricting of movement dress shirt to have a hoon on their game. Can't wait to return.
