De Niro's - Dundee

We visited this restaurant for their gluten-free option available on the first Monday of the month. My partner and I had previously tried some mediocre gluten-free fish and chips at another place (we're looking at you, Tailings!), so we didn't have high expectations. We ordered two fish and chips and a portion of fritters since we had never tried those before. To our surprise, we were completely blown away by the quality of the meals—they exceeded our expectations! The fish was large and perfectly cooked, with a beautifully light and crispy batter. The chips were delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by the fritters as well. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we plan to come here every gluten-free night. This restaurant is an excellent family-run establishment that consistently serves delicious food. I highly recommend it! My personal favorite is the special fish sauce, which is always cooked to perfection with beautifully crispy bits. The dish comes with a side of flavorful curry sauce. They also offer some of the best fritters in town. The staff is friendly and dedicated, making the dining experience even better.

We've been to the regular chipper a few times this month and have tried other places, but none compare to De Niro's. The food is high quality, and it’s delivered in a reasonable amount of time. We really enjoy it!
