The Poplar - Dundalk

It's been a while since I've visited for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the upgrades to the restaurant. The atmosphere is very welcoming and inspiring. The menu offers a great variety of affordable options. I tried the Reuben sandwich, and it was cooked to perfection—lean without being greasy, and the ingredients were well-balanced. I’ll definitely return, especially to catch a Ravens game. Elaine, our server, was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, you'll have a wonderful experience here.

This was my second visit, and once again, I had a wonderful experience. The staff was fantastic, and Elaine has become a personal favorite of mine. I really enjoyed the Chesapeake Bay Burger and the Smith Island cake!

We returned and took a seat, and our waiter promptly brought us menus and asked if we wanted any drinks. At that moment, I began to worry that I had made a mistake by coming here, as it felt like no one else was around and I feared the food might not be good. However, when our drinks arrived, we placed our orders for the stuffed shrimp and New York strip steak. Once the food arrived, all my concerns vanished. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service from our waiter was excellent. I was thoroughly impressed. As a professional, it takes a lot to impress me, but they certainly did. The meal was even better than I remembered from my previous visits. I will definitely be returning and will bring friends along next time. A piece of advice for the staff at Popular: the only challenge you face is marketing the place effectively. Everything else is spot on. Best wishes, and I look forward to our next visit!

We had to plan a lunch after a funeral. The place my dad asked before he died was booked. Since the woman I had eaten at the Poplar Inn before we went there. We found it changed in a sports bar. I didn't want to go in. I decided to read the reviews and a review really glued. It talked about how the manager Elaine went out of her way to let things happen that the food of the service was good. We went in. As the review said, Elaine took the time to explain everything in detail and worked with us. We booked lunch and it was great. Our server was great. We're here early, but they accused us in style. Everyone enjoyed lunch. We will definitely come back.
