The Carine - DUNCRAIG

Been here lots of times at this popular venue. Menu is not as good as before and quality has gone down. Hope management goes back to previous menu or maybe its the chef

Often catch up here with friends and am never disappointed. Never seems too full or too empty. Good selection of food and drinks and the music is just the right level.

We were there on a Friday night and it seemed fully booked. The wait staff were very attentive and the meals came out quickly but they were awful. Our table had mainly steak and they were over cooked, a small handful of chips and then the salad! Pitiful is the only word to describe the salad which obviously came out of a bag, was dry and un-dressed, shame on them!

In short this is a pub so don't expect 5 star service. The food is good but a little overpriced. Its a clean fresh restaurant most of the time. Has a small outside area to sit in which is nice when the sun is out, or plenty of space inside the pub or restaurant. Staff are friendly enough but if the place is busy the service standards start to slack..

Was seated at a dirty table (fresh cutlery but table had not been wiped) at the restaurant and given a bottle of water. Waited 15 minutes (from when we started counting) to be served but the staff were more concerned about closing the bar area and cleaning up for the night (it was 8.10, food was being served until 9) There were about 5 other tables with guests so overall was mostly empty and there was at least four staff on in this particular area. Disappointed as we have just moved to Greenwood and it could have been a regular spot. The food looked as though it presented well and smelled quite good. Also the brand of wine that was on the wine menu was not the same as what was actually served.
