The General - Eatery and Supplies

Took a drive to Dulwich hill as there's a few places that Instagram has been leading me toOne is General eatery and supplies.

Great coffee and lovely atmosphere. Professional service and consistent quality. Worth the price.

This place gives off a very hipster vibe. From the jars of preserves and sauces, to the high chairs and common tables in the back. I have only visited here

We were staying nearby at Dulwich Hill, so we walked because parking is limited. The General is situated in a strip of interesting shops (mainly eateries). Booking was tight for a Friday so we had to sit outside on a cool night - but it was mild with the protection of a hedge and partaking a glass of pinot noir to warm us up. We went for plates to share ie sourdough bread, corn baquettes, lamb shanks, ancient grains salad, chicken pie plus a hamburger for my son. All plates were amazingly tasty. I really loved the ancient grains salad, but top marks to the chef for an outstanding array of food. Service was pleasant and prompt. The meal plus drinks set us back about $50 per head which I believe was very reasonable. We can't wait to go again and try some of the other dining options.

This is the place that does great coffee. It's my everyday coffee. You can have a table in or take way. I usually take away and have coffee on the go. If you like coffee, you will love this,
