Permanently closed without notice and yet still accepting bookings online. RIP
Booked this for my partner's birthday a couple of weeks in advance, got the confirmation email, and a second email for confirmation the morning of the booking, to which I responded confirmed as required. I called a few days earlier to check the booking was OK, but no one answered the phone. We arrived at the restaurant for 8pm, and it was closed. Shutters down, lights off. Not a sinner in sight. We called, no answer. Called again, no answer. I booked it based on the positive reviews but obviously this restaurant has no idea how to manage bookings and deliver a basic level of customer service. No one from the restaurant contacted us to say they would be shut for whatever reason. If they'd notified me it would have been grand, but this was a mess. Luckily my partner is easy going, but I think he deserved better than wandering in the rain trying to find a restaurant with a table free late in the evening, when it had been booked plenty of time in advance. Left a voicemail, it has been ignored by the restaurant.
