Osteria 99 Italian Cuisine - Dublin

I visited Osteria for the first time last night, and it definitely deserves to thrive. The atmosphere was lively, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were wonderful. I'm planning to make this my regular spot!

The food here is outstanding and very affordable. A+ – we'll definitely return. The freshness of the pasta and the quality of the ingredients really come through in the flavor. It's an incredible value, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

We started with the tomato basil soup (Zuppa di Giorno) and the house paté as appetizers, both of which were delicious. For our main courses, my wife ordered the monkfish while I opted for the filet mignon (Bistecca di Manzo al Pepe Nero). The filet was excellent, served with 'hand cut fries' that were actually more like the most delightful crispy, golden roast potatoes, which was a wonderful surprise. It came alongside perfectly cooked asparagus, neither overdone nor underdone, and not at all bitter. The peppercorn sauce complemented the dish nicely; however, I felt it could have benefited from being reduced a bit more for a thicker consistency. But where they truly excelled was in the dessert department. With so many tempting options, we decided to share three: the tiramisu, the chocolate mousse, and the Grand Marnier crepe. Each dessert was outstanding. Sometimes, taking a chance on a new place really pays off. Bravissimo!
