They were closed, we took a taxi over and was thrown off when they are closed, they must shut off their open table reservations. probably no longer try

I didn't get the chance to eat at this place as it was closed when my fiancée and I showed up, and therefore our romantic christmay day was diner ruined, as we had to eat at a chipper. I do not understand why the restaurant accepts a booking for a day that it is closed.

Great atmosphere, nice eating that is good for what they get. good cocktail offers. beautiful staff, service was somewhat slow, but it is understandable to this time of the year.

Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, the menu on OpenTable and Adelphi's own website was completely different from what was actually offered at the bar. We had expected a casual restaurant featuring steaks, burgers, lasagna, and other similar dishes, but instead, Adelphi turned out to be a bar serving items like hot dogs and nachos. This would have been fine if that’s what we were looking for. We were so puzzled that we wondered if we were at the wrong place or if there was another dinner menu available. When we asked the very friendly waitress about the menu, she told us she had worked there for over a year, and that was always the only menu they had. She also mentioned that Adelphi was formerly part of the Abbey Hotel but had since separated, which we assumed was the reason for the menu change. Ultimately, we had to scramble to find another restaurant and put our names on the waiting list, which resulted in us being almost half an hour late for a birthday party.

I received a phone call just 10 minutes after making my online reservation to inform me that the restaurant was closed for a private party, and my reservation was canceled. I'm not impressed and won’t be returning.
