フィードバックを提供するThe restaurant is decent, you won't have any issues with getting sick. The seafood appeared to be fairly fresh despite being far from the ocean. They made some unconventional choices, such as adding a mysterious sauce to the California roll. It wasn't terrible, just a bit odd. The Karaage was dry and lacking seasoning, but it was saved by the sauce it was served with.
I didn't get a chance to review the ambience at The Roll as we only got takeout, but everything was delicious. I got the vegetarian bento box, my daughter got the sushi bento box, my husband ordered the beef teriyaki, and we also ordered chicken yakisoba noodles for our little one. I also tried their tofu. The portions were generous, nicely presented (considering they were in Styrofoam containers), and bursting with fresh flavors. I would definitely dine here again when in Drumheller.
I decided to try the roll again and ordered their lunch special C. Instead of the usual offerings, I made some substitutions. I swapped the ebi, tako, and red snapper for 2 tuna and 1 salmon nigiri. I also replaced the cucumber maki with avocado maki. The staff graciously allowed me to make these changes at no extra cost, which I found to be a nice touch. The food was fresh and delicious, and the server was very friendly. Additionally, during my visit, the restaurant was celebrating its 3-year anniversary in Drumheller, offering a 20% discount on the entire menu for the months of February and March 2019.
Excellent roll selection for a landlocked restaurant. The spicy tuna is out of this world! Crunch mango roll was nicely balanced.
Yum! Just ate a delicious fresh sushi meal here! Seaweed salad was fresh and tasty, Spicy salmon and Alaska rolls were delicious but the standout was the Dragon roll topped with a thick smokey slice of unagi- one of my favourites! Drumheller is full of burger joints and pubs, do yourself a favour and support this place- you won't be disappointed. The servers were friendly and lovely too!
