フィードバックを提供するYears ago we were in the cellar vaults of the Sophienkeller in Dresden. It was okay at the time. If you like cellar and dedicating food, a rustic address and a bit of theatrical atmosphere, then you were well removed. But it is always exciting when you visit a restaurant after years. Has it improved? Is it the same or is it disappointed? If a post starts here, you know what direction it is. Well, what to say. We can only write what we experience. That's it. It went on in Dec/January when some restaurants closed. We called, but you didn't know if and when it was open for the powder tower or for the Sophienkeller. We announced our visit to the Powder Tower via Insta. That was not understood as a reservation. We didn't take that bad. We ate somewhere else. We tried it later in the Sophienkeller. However, the time was short with us and we wanted to take something to eat. We waited on site, down in the basement, until an operation came and ordered from the map. It sounded very delicious. We took a time to pick up the food. We were back on time. But the Sophienkeller was empty up to two tables with guests. Just far and wide no person who worked here. And the cellar is big. We had it in a hurry and ran once through the vault. Nothing. We waited at the entrance for 10 minutes. We cried out several times: “Hello!” Do you know that when you are in a hurry and it is not going forward? You get crazy. We just wanted to leave, but someone else came. Oh, obviously shift change. She knew nothing about our order and disappeared again... Certainly, this was a time when many hotels and restaurants had already “driving” personnel. Guests were rough about the many Gs. But all this is not the story yet... Once it went on. And recently we were there again. Because the food on the pictures looked so bad. For 19.50 Euro a Saxon Sauerbread with raisin sauce covered with apple orchard and royal clot with semmelbutter. For 17.90 Euro piglets baked in a bread loaf with sour wort and roasted onions, with marjoram sauce and salad broquette. We'll be back at this point with Emojis that you don't know if we're broken, crying about the many money for such a food or angry. In fact, you can say that you can pack food for picking up in various ways and thus also present it. Many gastronomics from Dresden have been very creative in the last two years. Especially when sauces are involved, the individual elements are often extra packed in such a food. Well, the Sophienkeller gives his food in this form. By the way, there is no discount for pick-ups (in addition, the Peter Pane is, as a pick-up you get 20 percent discount). As the eye eats, we were so cut off from unpacking that we were no longer paying attention to the taste. All in all very disappointing. On the other photos you will see the empty rooms of the Sophienkeller, where we slept around and were looking for someone who wanted to give us our order (you can read it in the last post). We gave the Sophienkeller a second chance and were disappointed again. Here we have just issued a higher bill than what we got. This clot cost 7.50 euros in the Sophienkeller. The small potato soup 5,90 Euro and the Campari Orange 7,50 Euro. For the potato soup we had two spoons and for the Campari Orange the waiter himself apologized that he did not get the layers. With a small water we were at 23.40 euros. We gave the waiter a 3 Euro tip in cash and only after we had left for a while, we asked ourselves: “Was quite expensive for the bit, right?” We got the bill out again. We had calculated 2x portions of saturation supplement (2x3 Euro) and 1x sauce (1.50 Euro). We only had a clot. What to do in this case? Back all the way back for three euros?
