フィードバックを提供するFantastic Japanese restaurant in Drayton Valley. I came in and was greeted by the owner who was immediately very welcoming.Service was very fast, with food coming to me ~10 minutes after ordering.I ordered a variety of food. Their nigiri is very tasty and the tempura are very good as well (good variety and deep fried just enough). The Maki was a little on the small side but very delicious as well, would recommend the spicy tuna maki. Gyoza (pork dumplings) are deep fried and the fillings are very nice compared to some other restaurants I've been to.Highly recommend as someone coming from outside of Drayton Valley who has lots of experience with Japanese food. Definitely a great place to grab a bite to eat if you are feeling Japanese.Wish I was able to provide photos but my food was gone before I could take any!
Sunday night good time for Japanese. Order Tempura Shrimp with a large Saki. Then ordered a Dynamite roll. That filled me up. Very tasty. The place was not to busy and service was top notch. The waitress was knowledgeable and suggested sushi dishes that were popular. Very friendly and was busy with customers but still was able to get take out orders plus get my food to me fast. Restaurant was very clean the chef acknowledged me. Brought out a dish of salmon and shrimp sushi I ordered for my desert. Nice location in the downtown of Drayton Valley. Will be back lots of neat dish’s to try.
The food was amazing. Everything about the experience I had there was good. The sushi was fresh and prepared very well. Would recommend to everyone to check this restaurant out. Even if your not into sushi there soaps and noodle dishes are something to experience
After the new owners took over every went down hill. From rotten fish, sushi falling apart/too big, to not knowing anything about the culture. Will be sticking to the one placed in leduc from the old owner. Worth the drive for better/ eatable sushi.Vegetarian options: FewKid-friendliness: Not really. No Color sheet and only like 2 booster seats. Drink options are slim as well.Parking: Parking always filled but customers not in the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessibleDietary restrictions: If you are allergic to something don’t eat here. They don’t not regularly clean the boards or knifes. Highly likely to get sick.
So I've been going to Yozakura for the better part of a year now and I've really come to appreciate the consistent quality I get from them... they really tend to deliver when you want some good Japanese food. Here's some of my favourites:1. The teriyaki bento boxes They make the sauce in house and when combined with the perfectly cooked but not overcooked chicken it's amazing. Comes with a bit of tasty salad with a nice sauce, some rice, and assorted veg tempura (including shrimp and yam, my favourites). Quite filling for about $20, makes a great lunch.2. The sashimi tower I love salmon sashimi, it's my favourite, and it's always what I get at other restaurants. When I found out you could order a tower of salmon sashimi here and that it came with ripe avocado, crispy tempura bits and a bit of spicy mayo I was in. It rocks, and the tempura bits really tie it together. Nicely presented as a tidy cylinder too, you'll see.3. The sunomono salad If you've never had it before you should give it a try, it's just a small bowl of glass noodles in a very light, clear sweet sour soup. It's really light and refreshing, especially the vegetable version. I like to order mine with extra noodles as the standard order comes as more of an appetizer size and I really want more of that taste.4. Chopped scallop nigiri This is such a simple recipe...layer of rice topped with chopped raw scallop mixed with a bit of mayo, topped with some tobiko (little red fish eggs), and then wrapped in a bit of dried seaweed. But once I've dipped the rice in a bit of soy sauce these little things are like flavour bombs, both smooth and creamy as well as a bit salty from the soy. So good. I usually get a couple with my meal to eat along the way.5. The rolls Lots of variety, but many include tempura shrimp, BBQ eel, and salmon so I've lots to love here. They tend to be very well made and great to share.Again, great restaurant, I'd put it up against the best I ever found in Calgary. Hope you give it a try.
