Church's Texas Chicken - Douglasville

This place is really disappointing. The chicken doesn't taste the way it used to, the pepper isn't spicy anymore, and the fries are terrible. The pie and cookies are good, but that's about it. They overcharged me by $6, which is frustrating. It’s a shame because Church's used to be amazing. They didn't even have any chicken sandwiches available. The peach lemonade is just Minute Maid lemonade with peach syrup, and they charge an extra dollar for it.

The chicken was old and hard as well as cold. I couldn?t eat it even the biscuit was old! Best part of the meal was the fries. The soda was supposed to be lemonade but it was yellow water. I will never go back to that Church?s again! If they serve that mess to me no telling what else they would do. I want to go back and ask for my money but it?s late and I?m home already. Something needs to be done before someone gets sick

The tea tastes spoiled and they exchanged it as the nice young man at the drive through window told the manager that nobody likes the tea I have another complaint, and the sprite tastes like the machine needs cleaning, when I was going to eat the coleslaw had no mayonnaise or dressing and the chicken was hard and dry. It was not a year ago either so I guess it never will so I won't go back it's sad because I worked there many years ago but now it's not the same. Although the mashed potatoes were good.

I have to be honest—I’ve been dining at this restaurant since I was a kid. I didn’t eat out very often back then, but my dad loved this place, so we would go occasionally. Being from the South, I definitely have a fondness for fried chicken. This restaurant has had its ups and downs; it went from being awesome to mediocre, and now it’s back to excellent! Without a doubt, the best fried chicken around. And let me tell you, the fried okra is fantastic!

This is the worst chicken place in Georgia.... The food is good if you can get it, but the service is bad.... Just bad. No matter what time is day it is they will be out of spicy chicken and well refuse to cook any. Even at 2pm... They close at 10pm and are out of chicken(their staple) in the afternoon.... Just bad. Was eventual told that they do not care what I want to order and made to wait 20 minutes to be told this tid bit of information. I don't mind waiting I do mine disrespect. It's crazy the way the manager handled this exchange before I even knew he was the manager... Avoid this place.
