Big Apple Bakery - DONNYBROOK

This bakery is a fantastic stop on your way to or from the south. They offer a wide variety of delicious food, both sweet and savory. I appreciate that they have a good selection of vegetarian options, which can be hard to find at other bakeries that typically only have one choice, like the classic spinach and ricotta roll.

This curry beef pie was the best I have ever tried. It was incredibly delicious, with the perfect balance of meat and gravy. The bottom crust pastry was also outstanding - not too thick, just right!

Sadly this was as close as I got to the bakery after hearing reading so many great reviews. Next road trip 1st stop this bakery!

A great country bakery with very reasonable prices. Extensive selection of sweet products mostly slices) and hot savoury products with many flavours of pie). Meat pies were $5 for a 10x12x4cm pie. We ordered steak and pepper pictured), and steak and mushroom pies and they were tasty with visible meat and a thick gravy. Tomato sauce sachet was 30c. We finished with a bee-sting slice $3.40) which was mild, sweet and tasty.
