Golden House - Dodge City

This is one of my favorite restaurants for takeout Asian food. The dishes are always fresh and served hot, and they don’t rely heavily on deep-frying, except for items like crab rangoon or egg rolls. The service is quite fast, and the prices are very reasonable. I often spend between $10 and $20 because I like to order enough food to last me several meals, allowing me to enjoy it for a few days. The owners and staff—who I believe are a couple—are incredibly friendly and manage the place well. This is definitely one of my favorite spots, especially when I’m craving comfort food!

We selected Golden House from the various dining options listed in the hotel literature. It only offers takeout, so we headed over to the restaurant. It was a hot day in Dodge City, and the temperature inside the restaurant was even higher. The owner, Kook, welcomed us warmly and shared that he has been cooking there for 35 years. We took our order back to our room. My wife wasn't overly hungry, but we both enjoyed the soup and egg rolls, which were delicious! Our next stop was Albuquerque, where we tried the beef and broccoli, and once again, it was fantastic! Every time I've returned to Dodge City, I made sure to visit Golden House. It’s absolutely yummy!

I ordered the shrimp, and it was delicious. It seems that most people prefer to take their food to go since the dining area is quite small.
