フィードバックを提供するWe just ate at the restaurant, we didn’t stay in a room. The food and service were great, though the fish and chips were a different style than we’re used to (less batter, more crispy kinda like a giant chicken finger). The staff were great with our toddler and provided a high chair and colouring book for her.Walkability: It’s right in the middle of downtown Digby, so there are lots of walkable shops and whatnot nearby.Food drinks: Super fresh seafood, which makes sense because the sea is literally outside the door!
Our group of 8, over 60 year old adults, arrived a few minutes after 5pm on Friday evening. 4 went inside to request seating in any configuration they had available, expecting to give some names and wait while wandering the nearby shops. The Hostess refused to take any names or give any wait time and told us, “you need to go somewhere else”, twice when questioned!! We went next door to the also busy Fundy Restaurant, we’re immediately welcomed and accommodated on the beautiful outside harbor view deck and served a fantastic meal.
I’ve been wanting to go here and support your business ever since I came across how you handled what has happened over the last three years.I’m so so sad at how disappointing the experience was. The staff was not even bare minimum friendly and gave the impression we were a bother.The ordering process was extremely slow and we had to ask twice if we could place our order. We weren’t asked if we wanted any drinks and had to chase that option down as well.The food was ok. The chowder was cold for the first round. When the second chowder came out the spoon, that was already inside the chowder, was pulled out only to realize it was covered with peanut butter and jam. Fresh at that. We advised the server and they took it away.After wanting to go here for more than a year and finally getting the opportunity it’s really unfortunate this was the experience.
It was so busy (a great sign! and we didn’t have reservations, but nonetheless the staff made sure our family of four was taken care of. We were seated promptly, and received such responsive and polite service! The staff recognized and interacted with our 7 10 year olds (which meant a lot to us , and were very attentive to our requests. Even more on top of this the food was absolutely delish! I will recommend The Crow’s Nest to anyone who asks. Thank you!
A long wait for a table, and long wait for food, but ot became obvious why....it was super, super busy and the food was really, really good. We both had the scallops 3 ways (when in Digby.... and it was terrific. The home fries were great (recommended more than the regular fries .They might be able do something organizationally to make front of house more efficient, as they were doing reservations, walk ups, and take out all at the same time, and many different people all covering the same jobs.Worth the wait for sure!
