Kneadful Things Bakery - Devils Lake

I can't help but chuckle at those who compare the food and prices here to those at Old Main. The soups and sandwiches there are decent at best, but the food here is simply outstanding. They offer fresh homemade bread, soups, and salads every day. You can always choose from six different, incredible soups, including options like lobster bisque, seasoned black lentils, yellow squash and curry, as well as classic favorites like chicken noodle, tomato basil, and chili. They also feature a 'soup of the day.' I tried their homemade Portobello-filled ravioli, and it was a burst of flavor for just $10.99. Fancier restaurants would gladly charge twice that for pasta they merely claim is homemade. The lake is truly fortunate to have a place like this.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They even gave us a bag of fresh, delicious cookies for our long car ride. The food was fantastic as well. This is the best place in Devils Lake!

I always stop here when I'm in town. You have a high quality menu of really good food and bakery. The atmosphere is very nice, new and cozy (there is a fireplace in the middle). Easy to reach from the highway and near the city center.

I absolutely love working with Liz! She creates the most beautiful cookies, and they taste fantastic as well. The bread is excellent, and the food is always worth the hour-long drive.
