Lou's Detroit Coney Island

I experienced a long wait at the drive-thru, but the customer service was excellent! The food was fantastic, as it always is! However, I could have used a bit more meat for the price I paid. I ordered the corned beef quesadilla, while my boyfriend had the steak quesadilla.

All Coney Island restaurants should stop referring to customers as "Sweetie" or "Baby." It's extremely disrespectful and condescending. I absolutely love their Grilled Chicken Club sandwich and have been enjoying it for years. However, when I got home recently, the chicken was scorched (a bit burnt) – something that's never happened before. The next time I visited, I checked the sandwich before leaving and it was burned again. I requested a remake, but the cook seemed a bit frustrated and insisted that it wasn't burnt, just the result of the marinade the chicken was soaked in. Nevertheless, he made me a new one, and it turned out much better. This time, he focused solely on my order and wasn't juggling other tasks, resulting in a perfect sandwich once again!

I visit the drive-thru a few times a week on my way to work. The food is pretty good. The women who take the orders are always friendly and cheerful, which really helps lift my spirits on my way to a job I don’t enjoy.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and being from Cincinnati, I have to say I was disappointed. The food was really unappetizing; the Coneys were not good at all, and the chili was surprisingly bad. The fries were hard as well. The only thing I enjoyed was the soda.

Parking: Lou's has a small parking lot. It's generally okay during the day, but it can be tricky in the evening.
