Assembly Line Buffet - Detroit

This buffet offers delicious food from a wide range of cultures. The serving staff was exceptional, and the chefs at each station were impressive as well. It was great to see the chefs ensuring that all patrons followed food safety protocols. Overall, a very satisfying experience!

**Read to the end for the positives.** I'm currently sitting in line and have been waiting for 3 hours. I witnessed a chef come out to let a family of eight in even after the line had officially closed. I recognized them as the owners of Little Saigon in Madison Heights. It's disappointing to see that their time seems to be prioritized over the hundreds of people who have been waiting. While the restaurant doesn’t take reservations generally, it seems they make exceptions for a select few. It’s truly frustrating that this family was seated ahead of all of us, especially since they arrived at least 45 minutes after the line had closed. The management should be ashamed of this favoritism. Due to this experience, I won't be returning and will be sure to share my thoughts with others. Such special treatment shouldn't be allowed when everyone pays the same. **Edit:** Putting aside the unfair treatment, I came here for the all-you-can-eat crab, and I must say, this place exceeded my expectations. After the 2.5-hour wait, we were able to enter just 20 minutes before closing time, and they graciously stayed open late so that everyone who waited could enjoy the bottomless crab. The service was excellent; we didn’t have to wait at all once we were inside. They continually brought out buckets of crab, allowing everyone to fill their plates to their hearts' content. I look forward to returning!

For those looking for vegetarian choices, there were several available, including stir-fried Asian vegetables, veggie sushi, a salad bar, and refried beans.

Good food for a buffet, they offer a little bit of everything. I wanted Thanksgiving in June and got it. The food didn't need any doctoring it was perfectly seasoned. It's pricey though, the online prices are not what you pay.

I'm already not a big buffet fan, so my review may be a bit biased. It was ok. Spending almost $50 on a meal that you can't even take home, it should be spectacular. It was not.Everything was fresh. We got there right when they opened. The staff was super nice and it was very clean. Sometimes, certain dishes were bland, but the pasta station was good! Overall, if buffetts are your cup of tea, you'll love all the choices they have.
