フィードバックを提供するMy husband and I went to a late lunch, food was great. He had the oysters and I got BBQ, delish! Live music on the terrace, our server was very attentive and Phillip the manager is a treasure. You have to keep him around very personally and well with people. We enjoyed our visit and will be back.
I’m a bit surprised by the average ratings for this. I thought it was very good. We were a bit spoiled for choice in this area, and picked this because it was on the water. We sat at the bar with a nice view of the bay. Interestingly, although I generally detest live music at restaurants there was an older guy playing guitar who is terrific. I’m a fairly decent guitarist myself and he was very skilled, played a good mix of songs, very technically talented, including some slide guitar. As far as the service, it was timely and pleasant. I got a salad with shrimp, asked for a popcorn shrimp appetizer too which wasn’t on the menu and they said they could do but they must’ve misheard me because they just brought me the routine steamed shrimp appetizer. I didn’t make a big deal of it because they were very good anyway. My wife salad was good as well, drinks were fresh and replenished. Overall very happy with it and will go back in a heartbeat.
The food was by far the worst we've had on our vacation we had oysters wings and a sandwich with 2 drinks all of which ran me to $107 not including tip. The oysters were whatever, the wings were mediocre at best defensively not worth $17, I'd rather have wingstop and the sandwich was god awful, It was super small and had the smallest, fattiest and roughest pieces of brisket I've ever had in my life. The service wasn't much better, it took 20 minutes for a waiter to see us and another 15 to get our drinks. We were there for a full 45 minutes before we got the oysters as our appetizers and by the time my sandwich got there the waiter told my girlfriend that what she had originally ordered wasn't available so we had to wait a full hour and some change to get everything from sit down to finish. The atmosphere was okay it was really loud I had to yell to hear anything. I honestly would've felt less insulted if the owner literally spit in my face and called me a racial slur than I did with my dining experience tonight. We will never be back.
Starters, fun bowls aren't fun on the wallet; $35 tourist trap drink don't fall for it. Drinks are just expensive so I'd pregame if you're ubering. The food on the other hand could be better could be worse, seafood is solid, I had the brisket, which I've had a lot better being from NC, but was decent with the sauce selection. All in all, majority of this review is focused on the nightlife.Man when I tell you it was electric, it was electric factory. Insane host, crazy tunes, and just all around a great scene. Great bar, big spring break vibes and underage atmosphere, but electric nonetheless.
We did enjoy our visit t the Village Door. The drinks, atmosphere, view and service as great. However our food was lacking. We had the shrimp and grits fried shrimp basket the shrimp were so small and not fresh. They appeared to be the small frozen ones from a bag. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing!
