If you?re from out of town, this is one of the 3 places in town (thatI know of) that is most likely to catch a fake ID as the door guys take their job seriously! (Good thing) The main bar istechnically outside but most of it is covered and it overlooks Boathouse. Nice patio spaces. A smaller indoor bar with a fewarcade games. The bathrooms though are tiny and very difficult to keep maintained considering the massive volume of people. Ifyou don?t like shoulder-shoulder packed action, don?t come here when the sun is down on the weekends.
The bar is nice if yoy get inside, but they don't like foreigners. I can go anywhere with my Swedish/International drivers license except here. Go to the Boathouse at the bottom of the hill instead. They have good prices and good people.
For the first time visit weekend fermented last, amazing atmosphere, really great bartender and a really awsome in decor all view of the water. Even when there were a ton of people, it wasn't FEEL as if there were a ton of people. Beverages were also very good, yellow submarine is my new favorite, and a happy surprise drinks do not cost as much as you would suspect in this area. Will take 100% my friends and family when they come for a visit.
I absolutely loved it at The Red Door! The gig was great and the people were great! It's worth a road trip just to eat there! The shrimp was so good and the fries were homemade and it was a lot of food for not so much money.
We hit the Red Door all the time for lunch. Fried shrimp and burgers with a few beers looking out over the harbor. Wife likes feeding the squirrels. Bushwhacker’s will get you if you aren’t careful.
