Before going into the food and service aspect of our experience, I just want to point out real quick that the Yelp wait times do not seem to be accurate here for some reason (maybe they don 't update them? . The Yelp wait time stated 0 minute wait but we ended up having to wait about an hour for a table for 2. The food 's quality has not changed at all since the last time I went there. Everything we got was amazing (please refer to pictures attached . The chargrilled oysters and burrata in particular were our favorites. For the oysters, I would highly recommend the original and bacon and gorgonzola flavors. The chipotle one was underwhelming. The burrata comes with 4 'sauces or dips ' that all taste great. Ian was our server and was phenomenal at his job. He was very pleasant and took care of us perfectly. I would highly recommend coming here sometime for some awesome Italian food!
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Angelo's Taverna for dinner last night, and I was very impressed. Service was excellent and all staff were very friendly and attentive (shout out to our waitress, Mari, I couldn't have asked for better service), the food was delicious, the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed, the prices were reasonable, and we did not have to wait long at all for our food to be served. We ordered Angelo's Bruschetta as an appetizer and I probably could've eaten the whole thing by myself because it tasted amazing. My boyfriend was very happy with the Grilled Chicken Alfredo that he ordered (dish at the top of the picture) and I was beyond satisfied with the Grilled Salmon and Risotto that I ordered (dish at the bottom of the picture). I couldn't have asked for a better dinner to end our vacation to Denver. 10/10 would recommend!
Love coming here when I’m craving good Italian food. The oysters are on point and the happy hour special really can’t be beat. When you ask for extra garlic they happily accommodate.
Angelo’s Taverna, at this location, has personality, inside and out. Service is friendly and fast. I was sad to hear they didn’t have the gluten-free fettuccine the Littleton restaurant has (because it’s so good; it’s tastes as good as the gluten version, if not better). However, the gluten-free rigatoni did not disappoint. It was quite good, too. As were the marinara and meatball. For those with celiac, note that the meatballs are not gluten-free. I found street, parallel parking, which was kind of tricky on a busy street. But, I think the restaurant has a parking lot in the back. Angelo’s Taverna is great. Go try it.
Angelo's Taverna is so yummy! Any place that has mussels, oysters, and pizza on the same menu is a place for me: I'll definitely stop by whenever I'm in Denver. The menu has great options and everything tastes so fresh. I had garlic bread with mozzarella and chargrilled oysters to start with a glass of Chardonay. For my entre, I was undecided between the chicken and eggplant parm so was able to order both : and a side salad. The portion sizes were perfect and the oysters were amazing. They actually have oyster flavors--that you can mix and match! I had the Chipotle Bourbon Butter and the Original (with garlic, butter, pecorino, and fresh herbs/spices . Both flavors were great but next time, I'll get a full plate of just the Original. As a note, they don't take reservations, but they do offer a call ahead option to get placed on the waiting list.
