The only complaint was that the bread served was hard to eat and very dry. The onion soup and the chicken were excellent.
We were in downtown for Brunch and enjoyed it as the restaurant in Kearney St laid, we decided to try it during the restaurant week. On Sunday we deliberately made a reservation for 5 o'clock and thought it would not be too crowded and sat on a small table for two. When the hostess sat a party of 4 less than 18 away from us, it is when it became unpleasant. It's impossible to be so close and don't listen clearly to all their entertainment. We felt compelled to rush through the rest of our meal. On the way out we noticed at least 4 empty tables where they could have our close neighbours. What about the food? It was good, though the common dessert was a shameful part. We wish we enjoyed it as much as we hoped.
No good culinary experience. The service and restaurant is beautiful. Great atmosphere, and the wine we chose was excellent and delicious. Our server was very nice. But the food we've been served really was missing. The appetizers were moderate: I had much better and tastier pate in various French restaurants. The only ingredient that came through was the raw onion. Not great. The sweet breads were not prepared to present the main ingredient and were medium-sized, hidden under an over-lemon sauce. On a puff bag. Only very subdue and I was excited to see sweet bread on their menu. The steak frits were good, although the perfectly cooked herbal frits were strongly oversalted to the point of almost inedible, so I was unable to finish them. Such a shame, and I consider myself a salt man. My husband ordered the seafood stew that was also ok, but the sauce did not have much depth of taste. We were disappointed with this $200 plus meal for culinary mediocre, and look forward to a good French restaurant in the neighborhood of Park Hill. We will not return unless the kitchen makes adjustments and tastes more of their food.
I love this place! Every aspect of our dining experience was on point. Server was friendly and knowledgeable, food amazing, and ambiance was perfect. You didn’t have to “yell” at each other to have a conversation. Loved visiting when it was located on Larimer, but now that it’s in Park Hill…I’ll be back more often for sure!!
