The Modern Rose - Deerfield Beach

I had an excellent avocado sandwich and a delicious cold rose coffee! This is an update to my previous review from February 9, 2022.

Absolutely! This is a delightful little spot perfect for a light lunch or brunch. I tried the vegan strawberry boba, the vegan bruschetta, and the vegan modern panini. The boba was definitely not traditional, which surprised me given the lively atmosphere. However, it was a tasty drink. The vegan bruschetta was fantastic, served on crispy bread topped with creamy spread and refreshing tomatoes. The vegan modern panini was good too, though not as impressive; it was a bit messy to eat and more filling than I expected.

It was our first time at this restaurant, and I ordered the spicy avocado toast. Although it wasn't very spicy, it was incredibly tasty! My partner had a panini with avocado, tomato, and vegan cheese. They don't allow substitutions, but the avocado was a great option instead of egg.

They have several vegan options including a vegan bruschetta that’s great value for cost. Also have vegan sweet loaf, vegan lemon poppyseed muffin, vegan artichoke empanada. I’ve tried all of these and all are fantastic. The teas and coffees are also either vegan or modifiable to make vegan. Staff is incredibly kind and attentive. Excellent
