The Lucerne Inn

Lucerne is a beautiful place to stay and the staff is very friendly. We stayed in Room 24 for 4 nights. I didn't give 5 stars because there needs to be a mini fridge in the room. A microwave would be nice as well for leftovers from the restaurant. There is a Kuerig, which is a nice touch, but of no interest to me. There is a pretty faux fireplace that you can use for light and/or heat. Here is the stuff I wanted to know but couldn't find before I went: There is a hair dryer under the sink and iron with board in the closet. The bathroom has a tiny bottle of conditioning shampoo, lotion, bar soap, shower cap, and makeup remover wipes. Rian's Pub is part of the inn and a great place to eat. The regular restaurant has fancier-type foods. Housekeeping doesn't go to the room unless you put the Service Requested sign on the door. I gave 4 stars for service because we put that sign out 3 times before our room was serviced. We put it out when we were gone about 4 hours from morning to afternoon on Friday, then tried again that same evening when we were gone about 3 hours. We had to get towels from front desk. We put the sign out again Saturday mid-morning when we left, and the room was serviced that time. Overall, I do recommend this Inn, but bring your own shower stuff and a cooler (there is an ice machine). The pool is nice, and pool towels are available by the back doors where you walk out to pool.

Such a lovely place to stay and eat! The staff was wonderful— ready to help with local recommendations. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The inn is historic and has quaint touches everywhere. Gorgeous views. The food at the restaurant was fabulous!

Adorable inn! Beautiful scenery and so cute and quaint. Speak with David he's helpful and kind. We would return.

Small bed, no microwave or fridge. The room was nice and clean. The Internet was very weak or not at all.
