Pretty good food, good and fast service. Nice ambiance when you walk it feels like a good bbq joint. Overall a good restaurant to eat at with family and friends

I love Uncle Gus's. We have eaten here a lot over the past 5 years. Today was a disappointment. It wasn't the food. I don't know if the person at the counter was new but, I called to put in an order. She told me to hold on a minute. 30 minutes later I drove there to place my order while still waiting for her to get back to me on the phone. Then I stood there another 5 minutes while she did who knows what before she took my order. Then another 20 minutes for my food which was acceptable. When she brought my food to me, I was waiting on the porch, she acted like she was pissed off at me. I usually give a tip even on carey out, but not this time.

What a pleasant surprise! Out enjoying the beautiful day and found this gem. So inviting with the nicest servers. They close at 3pm on Tuesdays and arriving at 2:10 we were glad we made it! Ordered the smoked meat loaf and sloppy chicken sandwich which was so different but absolutely delicious. The smoked meatloaf was not too big or not too small and it packed a punch with it’s flavor! Most restaurants don’t put much emphasis on french fries but these were so good that I couldn’t quit eating them. Decorated with little treasures from days gone by, you can’t help but look around.
