Roosters - Decatur

Great little place on the Decatur square. Good burger with fresh ingredients, made how you want it....really good homemade chips that has a bit of spice. Service is quick and friendly just like a small town. Downside is parking if its busy. Worth a try for sure.

The food here is excellent. The fried pickles were a bit on the salty side, but the brisket nachos and the cockeyed mango lemonade were absolutely delightful! The service was very friendly, and our waitress was really helpful. Additionally, there's a nice view of the downtown area from the upstairs seating. They also have a small pool table area, which is a nice touch!

This is a great spot for dining at the bar. The place features three pool tables in the back and extra seating available upstairs. I ordered the rooster tails, which are fried onion strips, and they were delicious—much better than the ones from big chain restaurants. The chicken strips were served in generous portions; however, they were a bit heavy on the pepper for my taste since I'm not a fan of it. The fries were nice and crispy, and I also enjoyed the banana pudding, which was very tasty.

Absolutely fantastic lunch spot! Everything we tried was fresh and served quickly. The Cuban and turkey sandwiches were excellent, and they came with tasty, fresh chips. We would definitely make a special trip to come back here. The courthouse square is stunning as well!

I also tried the hell burger, which was extremely spicy, just as I expected. However, the flavor didn’t quite live up to the heat. After sweating profusely and my wife checking in on me for about 10 minutes, I finally recovered. I wish the seasoning had matched the spice level, but unfortunately, it didn't. On a positive note, the meal was very affordable, making it well worth the visit.
