フィードバックを提供するWife and I in last night, excellent dinner. After having some great opportunities to try some good beef, elk and bison while on this road trip through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and now South Dakota, dinner here topped all others. We both had the prime rib dinners; the beef was cooked perfectly and tender beyond any other prime rib that we could remember. Cocktails were excellent, the smoked Manhattan stands out. Service was excellent as well. Here for another day, could easily see coming back.
Fantastic Service! Although we were somewhat let down by Deadwood overall, we decided to have lunch here and were pleasantly surprised. The service was incredibly quick, the menu featured intriguing options, and the food was excellent. It was definitely the highlight of our visit to Deadwood!
I am avid review reader but I was in deadwood during the covid pandemic and there was a perfect table in the front of the restaurant far from other people so I grabbed it. Our food was great so in this case, I am happy that I didn't read the mediocre reviews. I had a veggie burger that had a distinct cauliflower flavor. Loved it. The pickle fries appetizer was also a hit. My husband steak sandwich with au jus was really good. If you time it right, we saw a street gunfight performance in front of the restaurant, ate our meal and then moseyed across the street to catch another free performance inside Bar no 10.
The menu is pretty straightforward, offering standard tourist fare—likely all sourced from Sysco. This isn’t necessarily a negative; it just gives you an idea of the kind of food and options available. We started with drinks, and I ordered a Tropical Coconut, which is made with Bacardi coconut rum and pineapple juice. It was enjoyable, though it came in a small plastic cup. For my meal, I chose the Cowgirl Sandwich, which consists of fried chicken served on a potato bun. It was good, but not remarkable. I also got a side salad with ranch dressing, which was your typical garden salad with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I’m sure there are some fantastic dining options in Deadwood, but this place is decent if you’re just looking for drinks and appetizers. It has a great location, good service, and a lovely patio.
Saige was an outstanding waitress—very friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job, which is rare these days. She was incredibly nice. The food was great too! You absolutely have to try the Buffalo burger! I highly recommend this place and will definitely return on my next visit. See you later, Saige!
