Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel used to be better than it is now. The restaurant has really declined over time. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the service. The quality and variety of food have decreased significantly. It seems more like a country-themed gift shop filled with mostly unnecessary items, rather than a decent restaurant. If you're looking for a good breakfast or lunch, I would recommend visiting a local diner instead. I went for lunch hoping to get their roast beef with mashed potatoes and okra, but it’s no longer on the menu. I ended up ordering breakfast instead, even though it was noon, because I wasn’t in the mood for chicken or a hamburger. On a positive note, they still have rocking chairs out front!

The food is consistently excellent and reasonably priced. However, I occasionally find it a bit too dim to read the menu comfortably.

I didn't receive the correct order, so they recooked it for me, but I had to take it to go because I was short on time. The manager did stop by our table to apologize and offered to comp that part of the bill.

This Cracker Barrel is quite a ways from my home Cracker Barrel, but the food is the same. I'm finding that it is less tasty than it used to be. And there is less of it. I also noticed the biscuits are much smaller than they used to be. I do still enjoy shopping there so I still eat there, but just not as often because of the quality of the food.
