While the front counter staff was polite, there was nothing exceptional about the service after we placed and paid for our order (2 coffees and 2 croissants, which isn't difficult). Despite there being no one else in the coffee shop, we waited nearly 10 minutes for our coffees, with no one making them or even seeming to know what we were waiting for. It was very disorganized, and the coffee itself was just mediocre. When I mentioned that I had requested three creams in my coffee, the person behind the counter just looked at me and said they couldn't take it back, giving me a condescending look and stating that the quantities were pre-measured. That's fine, but the lid said two creams, not three, and there was no reason they couldn't have fixed it. Additionally, the restroom was dirty. This place has a lot to learn from their Canadian counterparts. I will definitely not be returning. On a positive note, the parking lot was nice.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant on November 12, 2022, around 6:45 PM. A rude young employee put his finger in my sandwich, pushed my donut, and even hit the takeout gear against the window in my face—all because I asked for a bag. I've been spending $8 a day here five times a week for the past five months, but after this incident, I will never return.
There's nothing quite like enjoying a hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and a side of donuts on a chilly day.
