I ate here about 3 years ago and the bbq was fantastic, so I finally made it back. This time I don't think the cook knew what brisket was. it was very tough and dry with gristle. i couldn't even eat part of it, i had to spit in napkin.I honestly think it was some other cut of meat. it was cut with the grain. Service was good , but the brisket was so bad I had to apologize to the people I was with because I recommended it to them.

My second visit. I doubt I'll return. The brisket was the fattiest I've ever encountered. I was embarrassed to have brought friends here. We sent the plates back 3/4 full, (we ate the beans, they were very good) and told the server that we thought the brisket was super fatty. She shrugged and took our plates. The owner peaked out from the kitchen, but never came out. Overpriced for what we received.

My 28 year Portland resident friend is from Texas, his wife, my self (who lived in Texas for two years) and my wife all had the most wonderful lunch on the way to a winery last week. Brian is a hands on owner and cook for this wonderful and delicious establishment!!!!! Would strongly recommend and will absolutely return!!!!! P.S. Most exclamation marks ever used in any review ever anywhere!
