Playford Tavern - DAVOREN PARK

I recently spent 4 nights here. The rooms and bathroom were very well presented and spotlessly clean. The room was also very quiet . The 25% discount from the bistro menu was a pleasant surprise and the meals great value for money. A super value accommodation choice.

We had a group of four the orders were messed up the food was ok the service was lacking staff were in the front bar and more interested in the pokies. there were a few young family's there and it looked dirty, on the menu it said welcome to the gateway to the Barossa Valley it is not even near the Barossa and nothing like the Barossa, there are heaps of hotels that are closer to the Barossa and I think I would rather go to any of them will I go back ? NO WAY this is the second time I have been there and both times were bad the first time was a couple of years ago and I let my friends talk me into going back. never again

The first time I came here with my husband, I wasn't expecting much. I think we had an Entertainment Book voucher - buy one, get one free. Well imagine my surprise, when I had a really good meal at a really good price. So good in fact, that this is one of the few non-steak places where I'll actually order steak!Last night I had the $24.95 scotch fillet (cooked perfectly to medium rare), with chips and crispy calamari rings - this also come with a buffet style salad bar. Couldn't expect anything better - I'll be back!

Playford tavern is a great place to eat with there great offer of buy one get one free lunch 7 days which includes the salad bar. They also have a front bar with TAB access and a huge gaming room.

Wow what a find, not realising that there was accommodation as good as this in the area near Andrew's Farm. Never have I seen a king bed made up at this cost $109 per night with a breaky box included, awesome!!! Very clean and tidy and comfortable sleeping quiet area. Easy access after dinner hours, the lightening could have been a bit brighter in the stair well. A job well done, nice upgrade .
