The chicken Karaage was hot and crunchy and it comes with a Sriracha mayo, I felt like you needed more sauce, so once we got low we stopped and saved it for later. We could have just asked for more, but i just wanted to move on to the best part...the sushi burrito! (The image of the Karaage is about half the amount, as we ate half of it in the store). The soft shell crab is my favorite! I added tobiko and jalapeño for texture and bite. My husband got the zesty salmon, and we traded halves. I definitely liked the flavor and texture of mine more. I think the zesty salmon was missing the zest part. I was a little disappointed that the spam jalapeño masubi was only one, if you order from other places you normally get two... Other than that, you probably only need to order just the sushi burrito because I was very hungry, and wasn't able to finish it because I was partially full from the chicken Karaage. Highly recommend!
New go to spot for me! I ordered a bowl with spicy ahi and sweet salmon, it was so delicious and fresh. I love the portion size too. I definitely had leftovers. The service was great and the cashier even had a great conversation with me.
I usually love the poke bowl here but this time there was a fly in it. Honestly kind of traumatized that I almost ate a fly so I don't think I'll be going back for a while... IM GENUINELY SO SAD BECAUSE I LOVE THEIR POKE BOWL
This casual corner restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter and wait for them to call you. We had the sashimi wrap (sushi burrito and declined the jalapeños) and the kali nachos. The wrap had good chunks of fish in it and was tasty. The kali nachos were wonton chips topped with surimi crab and a soy drizzle. The sauce was a bit strong so made the dish salty.
The food here is reasonably priced and super ono the fish is fresh and the servings are generous. In fact, I was only able to eat half of my poke bowl before I got full. There are a handful of tables on their outside patio but like almost all downtown Davis eateries with outdoor seating, you're only inches from the street. That said, I highly recommend this local business for lunch or any time you have a craving for an oishi (yummy) poke bowl.
