Ushio Sushi - Davie

On my second visit, the chicken was undercooked, and this time there was hardly any chicken to speak of—it felt like I paid mostly for the batter. The pieces I received were extremely small, and 4 out of the 6 hardly had any meat on them. I’ve always found the batter to be spot on, but when there’s barely any chicken in a chicken karaage, it’s disappointing. Given my experiences, it would be great to just get some decent $7 fried chicken. I really want to stress that Ushio is still a reliable, affordable, and consistently great restaurant overall. It’s just this one dish that needs improvement. Don't let my review scare you away; Ushio is still worth visiting!

Absolutely delightful! The sushi rolls are perfectly seasoned. I’m particularly fond of the rock and roll roll. The one I tried that had the mango sauce was incredible! I will definitely return to explore more sushi options. I highly recommend it to all my friends and family.

The Chirashi Don I had was one of the worst I've experienced. It featured just three basic types of tuna, along with Hamachi and salmon, but lacked any seasoning or spices in the rice bowl. The beef bowl was primarily made up of crispy fat, and although the little bit of meat had some flavor, I was left unimpressed after giving this place a second chance. If you're looking for an authentic Japanese meal, I'd recommend driving the extra miles to Koume instead.

We drove more than an hour to come here, it was totally worthy. The quality was so high, and price was nice. Everyone was absolutely amazing. My husband and I enjoyed it so much. Definitely coming back.
