Manor Farm Barn - Dartford

Food was excellent but whilst the service was prompt the waitress was in a rush to get us to finish. She kept clearing our plates before we had all finished and essentially told us at 10pm to hurry as she had to prepare the area for a big party the next day. We'd only been on there a couple of hours. Not good for the digestion. Amazing as we were pretty much the only people in there. Perhaps she wanted an early night. As it was -4c outside we asked if the fire could be put on but was told by the waitress she was too hot!!! All that rushing to clear our table I suppose. Cant fault the food hence the three stars but do like to be relaxed when I'm eating so may not rush back

We went on a Sunday, we're told immediately they were nearly out of Roasts! One beef left, which one of our party had. The meat was very tough, veg dish a soggy mess. The Haddock was a teeny piece of dried up fish inside a mountain of batter. Batter incredible hard and dry. It was shocking I couldn't eat it. All I ate were chips and watery pea puree. The chicken burger husband said was ok ish! The table was dirty with sticky ring marks from previous people's drinks, the waitress came and wiped it over again. Expensive prices for very bad food. Same waitress did her best and gave £6.00 off the food! But I got the impression we wasn't the first to complain about the Haddock being just batter with no fish inside! We won't eat there again.

Booked our table in advance, when we arrived was seated at a table with the server station and till right behind us, so very tight and constant movement behind me. Or server (blonde lady) was quite short with her responses when we asked her questions about the beer on tap we was interrupted with 'I will tell you which beers we have on tap '. OK. Placed food order and noticed there was a better positioned table for 3 available and asked to be moved. I was told abruptly by the same server that they were fully booked and we couldn 't be moved. I asked about upstairs tables as completely empty, to be met with the response 'It is closed '. Really not good customer service. So, reluctantly we remained at our allocated table, and was constantly disturbed and just felt squashed in. The table we actually asked to be moved to remained empty until we left! Food was OK but over priced, won 't be returning for the bad service and attitude alone. Ruined my brothers birthday lunch. Needless to say, I didn 't leave a tip. I would not recommend.

All portions were very small for the price and there were lots of things wrong. All the starters were nearly cold, potatoes parsnips were tough and hard, the yorkshire pudding was quite literally as flat as a pancake.The kids pizza had big, lumpy bits of tomato in the puree my little brother had 1 bite and absolutely hated it. It was sent back and he went without a main. Finally 5/6 of us were very disappointed with our desserts. We voiced that we wasn't at all happy with the meals when asked if everything was okay, but the waitness just made a hearty joke and had no interest in doing anything about it. Wont be coming back, an absolute waste of money.

Went for a birthday treat for my wife. we had a very pleasant meal good service and very friendly people. The manager Richard made sure that we had everything we needed and did not rush us. Nice atmosphere and family guided. A
