There were a lot of staff standing around chatting to each other and occasionally attending to a customer. We we waited and waited in fact over 15 minutes before some chap bothered to come up to us by which time my partner said they don’t deserve our money or business let’s go. I spoke to the member of staff and told him how poor it is and how I’m not going to spend my money with you people when you cannot be bothered to show that you want me as a customer and they couldn’t care less. Funny how this branch has today been identified for closure and good job too the staff don’t deserve to work in hospitality because they have no customer skills and couldn’t care less and long as they get paid we’ll no more because you’re out of a job and good riddance I say.
We went here on Sunday afternoon for a quick burger vefore heading home. Despite only having 5 tables in the restaurant we had to wait over 30 minutes for our drinks which i assume they had forgotten as i went to the bar to ask for myself. Then the food no special potatoes available. Jalapeño burger came without Jalapeños, and my chicken and avocado burger came eithout avocado. When i queried whether this was the correct order I was told yes we've got none left. So deep fried chicken in a plain bun for £13 it is then. At no point did the restaurant apologise. Safe to say we will never eat in a Bryon restaurant again. It was one of the most depressing dining experiences ever. Being charitable maybe they had been really busy possibly earlier so they were all exhausted and didn't care. Personally I would rather they closed. Ideally forever. It was the worst
Been eating at Byron for years, always been a fan and recommend it to friends and family. However, todays visit was frankly embarrassing. First thing that arrived was one of our sides, which was wrong, no problem quickly dealt with. Secondly, my burger arrived (I’d ordered a vegan version of the double cheeseburger which arrived with real bacon in it), not so quickly resolved. Another long wait, another burger, also wrong, this time not even close. By this time my wife had long finished her meal, so I asked for them to take it off the bill and left. Half hearted apology, and no attempt to make things right as a gesture of good will. Beyond disappointed, dumbfounded by the poor excuse for customer service.
Visited today for a special occasion and was sorely disappointed by the customer service. They got our order incorrect 3 times which meant my partner was served bacon with his vegan burger. It was then replaced with the wrong burger, which he hadn’t ordered, by which point I’d finished my meal so we couldn’t even share the meal properly together. I understand that orders are sometimes muddled but the customer service following this was really poor. Considering how tight money is at the moment going out to eat for a meal is a treat and so we was really disappointed by this experience.
I have always enjoyed a good Byron burger. I've also been treating myself to the Oreo cheesecake, which is absolutely divine. I highly recommend it. But that's not why I'm writing. There is nothing more perfect than hospitable service. And you know the type of service where they are there when you need them and not there when you dont, always polite, attentive, spot on with recommendations and perfect manners. Yes, I just described Eman a waiter at Byron, Bluewater. Check him out guys and tip him well. He's the best. Service 10/10
