Olamendi's Mexican - Dana Point

This place has a great following in the southern orange county. made famous because president nixon liked this place. I was twice before I started eating vegan and I was left with a “meh” perspective on eating. now that I follow and eat as a vegan I do not even consider this place for Mexican meals.

Have tried to come here several times and every time the staff has to blame for closing over an hour early, while signs, lights and music are still up.

I feel bad to give this place such a low rating, but honestly the extra star is given because the location and restaurant are pretty cool and service was good. I like the fact that they have a dedicated vegan menu. but eating was blazing! it is as if they didn't even season or salt it. for reference I got the mushroom enchiladas, also incredibly expensive for what they were — literally only that. mushrooms in maistortillas with a red, tasteless sauce. a lot of luck next time. Why not make the chips vegan? does not make any sense.

They enjoy a recent takeaway from here, but was surprised to the trips $14 for an salat and $21 for a few enchiladas. also not recognized until after ordering and read reviews that the tortilla chips may not have been vegan, as all vegan menu options do not think to ask.

I had the mushroom enchiladas and they were amazing. My family and I were very happy with the vegan choices. The food was great and the quality is excellent. They have both vegan and non vegan options here.
