The cream cheese drizzle was incredible—so tasty! The bacon was perfectly crispy, and the sausage gravy had a wonderful flavor, although it was a bit on the salty side. Still, it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place, and I’m eager to return to try something else.
This review is for the new Oaklawn location: It's a promising beginning for this new establishment. The staff is still getting the hang of things, so be patient and give them an opportunity to shine. The food was excellent; I enjoyed a delicious brisket omelette, and the potatoes were also fantastic. The atmosphere is wonderful, and it's clear that a significant investment has gone into this place. I really hope people will give it a try and keep coming back.
When the only complaint you have about a restaurant is that you wish there was more of their delightful food on your plate, it’s a clear indication that you’ve discovered something special. I’ve eaten many pancakes throughout my life, but I’ve never encountered any so fluffy and flavorful. I found myself hoping they would be slightly larger, or that there would be just one more of them if keeping them this size is what made them so fantastic. The biscuits and gravy were also impressive, and I had to exercise self-control to leave the tantalizing pina colada cheesecake that was practically beckoning to me from the dessert display. The staff were incredibly friendly, and their appearance wouldn’t matter one bit to me; as long as they’re running a successful business in the gayborhood, it’s pancakes for everyone! Ultimately, the focus should be on fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, rather than worrying about superficial details.
Excellent food, so far I have not found anything I didn't love. The owner is an amazing chef and has developed unique recipes that I have not found anywhere else. Today I tried the Texas Cackleberry Sammy with a side of garlic potatoes and a cappuccino and for dessert a white Chantilly cake with a Strawberries. Delicious!
One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Sunny side up egg, applewood bacon, house made spicy pimiento cheese on jalapeño bread. Fast casual set up with full bar. Fresh pastries at the counter, cookies, muffins, cinnamon rolls, yum.
