Love it here! Great service, decently priced drinks and interesting bar and grill type food choices. The pub chips are the best!
I first happened upon this awesome restaurant in Nov 2021 after attending the Stone Crab Jam. The HUGE soft pretzel appetizer and the delicious chicken salad wrap and BLT sandwich made a lasting impression, and I knew I 'd be back one day. Sure enough, fast forward to 2023. My Crystal River High Class of '93 was looking for a place to celebrate our 30-year class reunion. Turned out that one of our classmates had a daughter who worked at St. John 's Tavern and she recommended that we ask the owners (Greg and Noel about the possibility of renting the private side room to their main restaurant... a speak-easy-style extension they called The Vault. OMG... it was GORGEOUS, and we quickly booked the only date they had left on their summer calendar for our reunion event. The owners, management, and staff couldn 't have been more wonderful to work with (such great humans! and the venue was out-of-this-world beautiful. Our classmates are STILL talking about that super fun night and the super classy reunion venue. From the quality of the food/drinks to the quality of the ownership, management, and staff to the beauty of the restaurant venue itself, I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about St. Johns Tavern in Crystal River! Such a gem! Be sure to give these folks your business!
Having a nice space dust hoppy beer with my pizza margherita while going Christmas shopping at the Crystal River stores around St. John’s with my mom. Amazing set down place after all the walking from Howard’s Flea Market and perusing the stores here. The flatbeard pizza is immaculate— every bite was eaten. My mom enjoyed the BLT.. the flatbread deserved its own photo even though it was half eaten: it was a fascinating take on the pizza margarita using balsamic vinaigrette Reduction and the usual toppings, but on a flatbread.Hailey, our waitress, was such a joyTo talk to and have a conversation with. St. John’s Tavern is a straight bar, but has the oasis feeling of a gay bar in Palm Springs or SF: very welcoming, friendly, and you feel like you cannot just only vibe with the staff, but even the residents here.A democrat could walk in and feel comfortable. Need I say more? I hope they continue the culture here for years to come.Parking: It’s small town parking
We had my parents 50th anniversary party in a private room at St. John's Tavern. The atmosphere was perfect. The staff was amazing. HIGHLY recommend them as a venue. I don't have a single complaint.
