Five Guys - Croydon

I’ve always experienced great customer service and friendly staff here but have found that the fries are not always consistent. My peanut butter milkshake was lovely but my fries were soggy and they shouldn’t be especially for the price that they charge. They should be crisp from the peanut oil and so it was a let down. I’ve eaten in other branches and have never had this problem before. I paid just over £8 for two items which is my choice but I expect perfection each time especially when it’s a well known chain as this.

I paid 16 and change for a burger and spicy fries. The burger was bacon and cheese, the cheese being packaged factory cheese and the bacon being black from being so over cooked. It actually cut my gums it was that crispy. The spicy fries were a lot of powder on the tongue, no spice. No flavour. And under cooked. Honestly, I worked how many hours if my life to pay for this?!

The food as others have said is rather overpriced for its quality. The main problem with this place though is the unbearably loud eurotrash rock music that completely prevents you staying. We though we 'd have a takeaway yesterday but couldn 't stand the music long enough to queue!

Great place to stop. I trust them with my gluten and dairy allergy. I have Celiac and never had a problem. I either get a bowl with a plain burger with lettuce and tomato or a lettuce wrap. Also get a plain hot dog in a bowl. French fries always cooked in a dedicated frier snd the BEST! On a side note, they serve peanuts and may not be the place to go with peanut allergy.
