White Hart On The Green - Crowborough

Booked for 1.3Opm, but arrived early at 1pm. Told firmly no food orders to be taken until 1.30pm, but sit at your table and order drinks, which wasn't a problem. 15 mins later no drinks!. Forgotten, so we had to order again with apologies! At 1.30pm we called someone to order our food, but thought we’d go for a starter prior to main course (feeling a little nervous). Skewered chicken was ‘tepid’ and sitting on a bed of cold pink coleslaw covered with a dark gravy-like/sauce substance. Don’t ask? We also ordered a side dish of skins on chips (but they didn’t have any skins attached)! Ordered one more drink with the meal delivery. Amazingly this was also forgotten and had to be again re-ordered! We decided to escape before a potential disastrous main course! Would not touch this place with a barge pole again! Such a shame. I regularly go here. The food is awash top notch and the service is amazing. Can’t fault anything. It’s amazing place where Katerina will make for you perfect cappuccino, Kasia and Basia will be treated to delicious dishes and kind man on the bar will select a cocktail that will suit you! Perfect place to celebrate birthday party or just meet for cup of coffee. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Me and my parents went for Sunday lunch the food was awful and expensive I had no vegetables and one roast potatoes I asked waitress for more she advised me that they had ran out and her attitude was awful in end she gave me another Yorkshire pudding, you say it’s bottomless roasties can’t even provided what you tell customers!! The mash was definitely microwaved Will not return again for Sunday lunch and the meat tasted awful! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
