Family Ties - Crossville

We were really looking forward to our visit, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. Being short-staffed is one thing, and we can overlook water dripping from the ceiling, but the complete lack of organization and time management is inexcusable. We waited for over an hour, watching as people who arrived 20 minutes after us were served and started eating. This wasn’t an isolated incident; it was happening frequently, which clearly showed a complete lack of direction and management. When our food finally did arrive, it was cold—every single item. And these weren’t complex dishes either: just simple eggs, hashbrowns, and a steak so thin it was practically paper. How they managed to mess up such basic orders and serve them cold is beyond me. This level of service is simply unacceptable.

I used to visit this place regularly because they served the best breakfast around. However, after some personal issues, I hadn't been there for a few months. I recently returned for the last two weekends, and both times I ordered home fries, they were so burnt that I couldn't eat them. I didn't want to create any problems for the young waitstaff, so I just paid and left. Additionally, the gravy I had this time was barely warm. It seems they may have a less skilled cook now, and I've decided not to return unless I hear they've gotten a new one. Aside from that, everything else was fine.

I arrived at 8:30 am on a Friday, and every table was occupied—that's a testament to how popular this place is! The food was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the service was good!

I’ve visited this restaurant many times and have always enjoyed great food and excellent service. However, my experience today was disappointing. The potatoes were cold and in very small portions. It seemed like my eggs were just thrown onto the plate, and the bacon was undercooked. The waitress never returned after serving me, and I wanted to order some milk but never received it. I’ve left positive reviews in the past, but I can’t do that this time.
