South Side Grill - Cresco

Not a lot of restaurants to select from in town, ended up ordering takeout 3 days in a row for a crew. They got every single order right each day, they were able to make the food quickly, and everyone I spoke to had a great attitude. Definitely stands out from other restaurants in the area.

Recently my family and I had lunch here after doing our Memorial Day grave decorating. This building is special to us, as our father, and grandfather, once owned it. The current owner went out of his way to welcome us and to acknowledge our history with his building, telling us we were free to roam and check out anything we liked. He even shared written histories of Cresco with us that included information about our dad.The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the homemade rhubarb pie was the piece-de-resistance! It is a family operation, and we made friends not only with the owner, but his wife (the talented chef and pie maker! and his step-daughter, who took over as our waitress.This is a cozy, clean, friendly place that won't break the bank. Stop here whenever you're in Cresco!

Great wings, breaded and sauced. Was from out-of-town, but owner took the time to chat me up, extremely friendly and welcoming.

Great place to eat, and the most friendly service. And they support dirt track racing in the area!! What a great way to support local talent!! Check it out!!
