Schmidt's House Of Jambalaya

Amazing food!!! Must try the Bouidin Balls and Dirty Fries! Absolutely satisfied

Schmidt 's was absolutely delicious! We 'd only eaten there once before moving out to Hiouchi and the distance became inconvenient. Decided to DoorDash it today on a whim and we were not disappointed. I was concerned the food would be cold and soggy by the time it got all the way out here but it retained its heat and freshness really well. The blackened catfish Po ' Boy was awesome. I used to live in the South and this was one of the most authentic po ' boys I 've had since moving out west. The Boudin Balls were light and airy, and The Shrimp Skewers had great flavor. The only knock against Schmidt 's was the Chicken Nugget Basket. The fries were fine but the nuggets were dried out and tough; neither of my kids would touch them. Otherwise, the food was great and we definitely won 't wait so long before going back this time.

Crawdad fritters were amazing. We also got kids fish and chips and the Jambalaya. Everything was delivered hot. Only gave 4 stars because Portions were a little small for the price. Other than that no complaints. I will definitely order again.

The fish chips was fantastic. the salad however was bagged with the hot food and itself was very warm and unedible when I got it.

I stumbled upon this place while vacationing out west.Let me start off by saying we had a chance to sit outside and that was a lovely view, I’m from Florida so eating with the west coast right out the window was beautiful.Now the food was absolutely delicious, I got the jambalaya and garlic bread, the seasoning was perfect and everything tasted so good together.Being named the House of Jambalaya the food sure held up to the name.If I’m ever out west again I will be wanting to come back here again.
