What a great place to stop and have a few tacos and a delicious margarita. The guacamole was so fresh and the chips crispy. Service was so friendly.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options- and tasty too!!

Not run of the mill Mexican. Attention to the details: flavors, textures and freshness. Complex and delicious, the chef/owner's hard work pays off in a wonderful way on the palette. Great people-watching sidewalk dining to boot. Love it!

I see some negative comments. I don't believe the reviewers realize what Zapata is about. Frankly, I find it refreshing that dishes are not smothered in cheese and drowning in sauce. Zapata is about combining flavors, and not marching to the beat of the typical Americanized version of Mexican food to which we have become accustomed. I recommend it to all my friends.

My friend and I decided to try this place and it's very good Margaritas guacamole and tacos all very authentic and good. The only downfall the Al pastor taco was very fatty and hard to eat. The steak and chorizo taco delicious. The service was perfect and the restaurant is so clean and welcoming

You absolutely, positively have to go in and converse with Alex! He is very knowledgeable about all the tequila options that they have in the bar and you will have a great conversation with him. If you’re interested in trying any type of tequila, he will give you all the information that you need! The ambience great and comfortable. And you will definitely definitely definitely be coming back time after time. Also, the food is phenomenal. He makes sure that he’s sets a scene that accentuates the culture surrounding the items on the menu. Make sure you go anytime you’re in Covington!!!
