Very nice place with very good food. Good service and wonderful location. Definitely recommended for a couple.

Have eaten here several times and the food is always good, the restaurant and bar are cosy, service is good. A good choice.

We held the annual Christmas lunch of the Coutances Anglophone Association at Jules Gommes last year. It was, to put it simply, an unforgettable event. From the arrival we were treated like honoured guests. We enjoyed a pre-meal drink and nibbles in the cosy and intimate bar. Then through to the charming restaurant, complete with crackling log fire. The food was delicious and all freshly prepared, with in-season local ingredients taking pride of place. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all 30-odd members, and is still talked of, in fact we intend to book again for this year if possible. My husband and I have visited the restaurant many times over the last years and have never failed to be pleased, it is a restaurant for any occasion, intimate or with a wider group.

Perhaps we fell on a bad day, but our experience in no way reflects the good opinions we read on this restaurant. dishes of an unpleasant, unreliable and cruelly unseasonable banality. the menu to € is disappointing: hot paste without any taste, almonds stuffed coriacs and swimming in the sauce. On the flat side, the tenderness missed, the fish was too cooked and not seasoned. idem for desserts: the taste of mint has always been sought in the glazed terrine ment/chocolat, sorbets without flavor. A good point for coffee, but it's a little lean.

Very nice welcome. Nice and warm environment. A very good time spent with friends. Very good value quality price for tasty dishes from the entry to dessert. Recommend by the owner of our cottage , we will return .
