I have to admit, I've never been inside, but it's at the top of my list of places to visit in Courtenay. The last time I was at the superstore, I was there with my dog, Tucky, who was curious about the various sights and sniffing around parked cars. Strangely, what caught his interest the most was a stack of fencing set up nearby, a barrier surrounding an area under construction. The metal glinted brightly in the sunlight without any shadows or greenery nearby, but it must have had an interesting scent, as Tucky was eager to investigate it.
The Mex is definitely one of my favorite pubs. The food is great, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The crowd tends to be older, so it has a nice, relaxed vibe and doesn't feel like a meat market. They also host local musical talents regularly, which adds to the overall experience.
This is a great pub where the locals like to gather. We attended some rap shows here around 15 years ago, and it has since become more popular for DJ performances. The prices are generally quite affordable.
A wonderful night with beatles tribut band . good atmosphere.
The baron of beef fries were great. Beer was reasonably priced. Not a fancy place by any stretch of the imagination but locals are friendly. Service could have been better.
