Blue Spruce Ice Cream - Courtenay

This restaurant was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. They had 4 flavors of vegan ice cream: chocolate, toasted coconut, black currant, and sour cherry with chocolate chunks. They also had 2 types of ice cream sandwiches available in the freezer. I tried the double chocolate cookie and mint ice cream sandwich and it was amazing. My daughter had chocolate and coconut in a sugar cone and she loved it too. There is free parking nearby and a lovely outdoor seating area.

Rotating roster of imaginative flavours with a high percentage of vegan options (6/14 when we went . The vegan options are clearly labeled with green writing as opposed to red writing for the dairy options. The waffle cones are vegan and they even have a vegan ice cream cookie sandwich option and soda floats. We'll definitely be regulars this summer :

I requested a cookie and ice cream to be served in a cup to recreate the ice cream sandwiches they offered, and it was delicious! The hazelnut chocolate cookie paired with coffee Oreo ice cream was amazing!

This restaurant offers a variety of vegan ice cream flavors, as well as the best vegan oatmeal cookies I have ever tasted. They even sandwich the ice cream between the cookies. Definitely worth a visit!
